About Lymphangioleiomyomatosis - LAM

LAM is a rare lung disease which affects women. Smooth muscle cells invade the tissue of the lungs, including the airways, blood and lymph vessels.

The invading cells restrict the function of the lungs with the usable capacity of the lung reaching lows of 15-30% in many cases.  This leads to difficulties in breathing, and shortness of breath when an exercise is done.

Research is always on-going and every effort is been made to provide a cure to the illness which affects women of all ages.
